Edwin Wendler

Composer Edwin Wendler has signed with Different Direction Management for representation.

Edwin Wendler has worked on projects which have earned more than $3 billion in box office income worldwide. Born in Vienna, Austria, he is the only former Vienna Choir Boy from the choir’s illustrious 500+ year history who is a successful and much in-demand film/TV/new media composer. During his years with the choir, he toured the world and sang in over 600 concerts and opera performances. Mr. Wendler is part of the Asian community (his mom is from Japan) and is also a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community. He currently resides in Hollywood with his husband.

Mr. Wendler’s feature film credits as composer include DreamScapes (narrated by Kate Winslet), Dragon Soldiers (Lionsgate), Dead Ant (starring Tom Arnold, Sean Astin and Leisha Hailey), Tales Of Halloween (segment Friday The 31st), and I Spit On Your Grave III: Vengeance Is Mine (Anchor Bay). He wrote the score to Red Bull Media House’s critically acclaimed television movie, Against The Odds, which tells the inspiring Cinderella story of the esports team, OG. Mr. Wendler’s score for the documentary The Right To Love - An American Family was nominated for a GoldSpirit Award. Mr. Wendler won “Best Score” awards at the Los Angeles International Film Festival, Indie Short Fest, Vegas Movie Awards, and Florence Film Awards.

Edwin Wendler composed music for the Liam Neeson-starring action thriller Non-Stop (Universal, StudioCanal) which opened at #1 at the box office, as well as additional music for X-Men: Apocalypse (20th Century Fox), The Nice Guys (Warner Bros.), X-Men: Days Of Future Past (20th Century Fox), Little Fockers (Universal, Paramount), and Into The Blue (MGM, Sony). In television, Mr. Wendler wrote music for the Showtime series Sleeper Cell: American Terror as well as two seasons of NBC’s popular reality show, Fear Factor.

Mr. Wendler has also been writing music for several high-profile video games, including Undawn, Torchlight: Infinite, Game For Peace (a.k.a. PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds), Apex Legends: Mobile, Mafia City, Iris.Fall, Bladed Fury, and Ring Of Elysium. He contributed to the G.A.N.G.-Award-winning music for the highest-grossing mobile game of all time, Honor Of Kings. Beating out every major composer in the industry, Mr. Wendler was selected as the lead composer for Synced, the first internationally released console game from Tencent Games, the largest video game company in the world.
