Aldo Shllaku

Composer Aldo Shllaku has signed with Different Direction Management for representation.

Aldo Shllaku is a classically-trained film and TV composer based in Los Angeles. Being born in Albania, which borders Greece, and growing up in an artistic family, Aldo underwent a rigorous music education at a young age, both classical training as well as through an exposure to the rich sounds at the crossroads of Balkan culture. As one of the harshest communist regimes was on the brink of collapse, Aldo left to pursue a better future: first to Greece and then Canada.

Making his home in Montréal – where he studied music composition at Université de Montréal under the mentorship and guidance of Dr. Michel Longtin – Aldo was part of the exclusive Domaine Forget International Music Academy, where he studied ‘new music’ composition. He then went on to complete his postgraduate studies at USC, where he participated in the ‘Scoring for Motion Pictures and Television’ program. Upon graduation, he worked for renowned film composer Christopher Young, contributing to such projects as Spider-man 3, Miss Congeniality 2 and The Grudge.

An artist well-versed in a multitude of music languages, Aldo has an ability to intuit the musical core of the moving picture regardless of genre. In 2025, the 25 million  comedy / adventure / western film The Comeback Trail starring Academy Award winners Robert De Niro, Tommy Lee Jones and Morgan Freeman along with Zach Braff, Sheryl Lee Ralph & Emile Hirsch was released in select theaters and V.O.D. Recent and notable credits include the theatrical released animated family film A Tooth Fairy Tale, Kill ‘Em All 2 starring Jean-Claude Van Damme, the action/thriller The Florist starring Dennis Quaid & Jean Reno, Kill Code starring Harvey Keitel & Tyrese Gibson & Frank Grillo and Peter Stormare and the delightful comedy/adventure Bigfoot I Love You. Other notable projects that Aldo scored include; The Poison Rose starring Morgan Freeman & John Travolta, Downrange Salomé directed & starring Al Pacino with Jessica Chastain, Kill ‘Em All, Lupin the Third, The Doorman starring Ruby Rose & Jean Reno and many more. Aldo has won five Gold Medals for Excellence from the Park City Film Music Festival and a Best Original Song award from the Manhattan Film Festival. His movie The Hill Where Lionesses Roar premiered at the Cannes Film Festival to glowing reviews.

An amalgam of the traditional and modern, Aldo’s music has been aptly described as evocative, sophisticated, poignant and ultimately satisfying.

When not in his music studio, you will find Aldo sailing in the magnificent Southern California waters.
